It’s always good to get reminded of important things at the beginning of the year. I liked this quick list from J. Robinson who blogs a lot about teaching, technology and education.

His number 1, ‘get to know your students’, should ALWAYS be number one. In fact, I put it before lesson planning. If you don’t know the kids in your classroom, how can you know what they need from you? And if you don’t know what THEY are passionate about, how are you going to connect your curriculum to them in a meaningful way?
